Not worth of mention: whine whine, tired unhappy sad, rent ugh, work blargh, and people won't talk to me and blah, need hugs. There.

Anyway. Anyone remember this? I still maintain that the 80's produced not only some of the best series, but also some of the best soundtracks.

In fact, this whole site there is a delight to my ears. A delight that makes me feel OLD, but a delight all the same!

I don't feel nearly as old as you do (since I don't remember ever hearing a great many of these) but... a little, still.

(Just wonder when did I ever have time to watch TV fifteen to twenty years ago...?)

Don't worry, I don't remember all of those either, not by a large margin. Only the oldest. *g*

Also, TV was much more appealing back in the days of yore when there was no Internet, wasn't it? :)

I don't know. I did have my Amstrad CPC 6128 at the time, so I guess it accounts for lots of things I've never seen on TV.

Nope, no 'net, that's sad.

And no worries, I'll come back, we can spend a night playing sysadmins!

Not much. I watched it a couple of time, but it wasn't much my thing.

Unlike horrors like this, which I watched religiously :

Hey, that particular horror wasn't so bad! :) It was from Jean Chalopin. Jean Chalopin never did anything that was entirely bad, as far as I can tell. He was awesome like that!

I loved the monstroplantes

Oops sorry, I am from the next generation, I'm afaid. My favorites would rather be Taiyo no Ko Esteban (http://www.coucoucircus.org/da/generique.php?id=238) (even though I did not like the anime when I was young, the musical theme will remain in my head forever) Goldorak (http://www.coucoucircus.org/da/generique.php?id=149), X-OR (http://www.coucoucircus.org/da/generique.php?id=400) and the wheeled warrior (Les conquérants de la lumière) (http://www.coucoucircus.org/da/generique.php?id=188).

And my all time favorite is the Pounding à l'arsenic (http://www.coucoucircus.org/da/generique.php?id=599) from Astérix et Cléopatre.

Aw Regis! Hi, nice to hear from you! :)
Yeah, the monstroplantes rocked. An amusing bit of trivia is that the whole series was to be based around them initially: some toy makers came up with the monstroplantes (the 'wheeled warriors' that gave the series its English name) and wanted an animated series to help sell them. They asked Jean Chalopin, who came up with the whole thing about Jayce and the Light Force and his father's root and everything, and created a kickass series just like that.
And the monstroplantes toys still didn't sell because Jayce was just plain cooler. :)
